{Ep 1} “Melodies and Memories: “How I Met Music”

If “music” were an acronym, it would be my “Mood-Uplifting Stimulator Igniting Calmness”. As we know, music is therapeutic.

Many years ago, as a 4-year-old girl, I recall growing up in a home where music was constantly played from the music turntable. I was always fascinated by it. I had no clue what it was. I couldn’t articulate the profound emotions it stirred, but the soothing sensation was like a warm hug. Music became a safe escape for me, especially after school hours.

It sparked endless creativity, leading to a funny song I composed called “Japanese Lion Every Day.” The origin of this impulsive composition remains a delightful mystery to this day. Nonetheless, my family was so amazed. They said I confidently sang the song on top of my tiny little voice, pacing around the house daily. Whenever I think about it, I am full of emotions and laughter. It reminds me of the cozy ambiance, my late dad and mom’s playlists, cooking, warm hugs, and the incredible harmony and laughter it brings to the entire family.

From then on, music became a constant companion. It was incorporated into my existence, from the lullabies that soothed me to sleep as a little girl to the anthems that inspire me today. I began to understand how music communicates, expresses, and connects. I am grateful to God for the gift of music.
