I WILL STILL BE ME; BUT…
If you could be someone else for a day, who would you be, and why?
I would still love to be me but only this time not an orphan version of me. Becoming an orphan affected me in so many ways. I would have still loved my parents to be here today. I miss their counsel, love, and warm presence. It was a difficult position to be in, doing life without them and being 100% focused on all that was necessary for my advancement in life. It became so hard to keep up with everything. But as I grew older, reminiscing about all I went through to become this version of me floods my heart with so much gratitude to God for holding my hand through it all, teaching and guiding me to becoming who I am today and will be in the future. All those experiences made me stronger, more refined, more mature, and wiser.
It wasn’t easy but it was worth it.
I still miss them so much, but I know they are in a better place.
Till we meet again, I will keep making you both proud.
